Koizumi Factory Osaka Japan

Makers of BMX legends like the Diamond Back range including the Silver Streak and Harry Leary Turbo. They also made early Hutch Trickstars.

The so called "baseball" logo is not a baseball, it was made from this kanji 小 which makes up the name of the company

Found all sorts of goodies lying around like this Silver Streak now used as a run-around

This totally mint Hutch Trickstar was also sitting about

If you have a the "baseball" logo on your frame, it was stamped with this little gadget

Your old chrome Diamond Back was plated is this huge chroming tank

They make mostly motorcycle parts now which is what they did before the 80s BMX boom

Run by my good friend Hiroshi Takahashi-san who was a BMX champion when he was a Kuwahara factory rider here in Japan in the 80's.

Kashimax Factory Osaka Japan

Makers of the legendary Kashimax MX and Aero. Awesome company! See our Kashimax seats.

Kashima-san ponders...

Izumi Factory Osaka Japan

Izumi chain is a great company with a long history. They make all kinds of chains from the very large to the very small and of course BMX chains

Moulders office?

Tiny chain for an office machine like a photocopier

The Izumi laundry - this is where the links are cleaned and polished for hours

This machine does all sorts of stuff, measures height, coating thickness, flexibility of joints...

Osaka Japan

A recent visit to Osaka took us to Araya, Kuwahara, Kashimax, Izumi, Sugino and Koizumi. If you've seen the movie Black Rain, it was filmed around here

Owen from New Zealand

I have never seen one of these but Owen says this is an Aussie built bmx, around 86. Very popular back in the mid 80's in NZ as well. They are now very hard to find. I guess it's lucky you have two of them then eh Owen
